Long-range interaction between dust grains in plasma    [PDF]

D. Yu. Mishagli
In the present paper the model interaction potential between dust grains is proposed. It is presented by two independent components, correspond to repulsive and attractive parts. The repulsive part represented by hard-core potential and the potential of Coulomb interaction. The attractive part is described by multipole interaction between two cells (we use the cell model of dusty plasma) which is long-range on its nature. The multipole interaction, by-turn, is presented by two additive contributions: the interaction multipole-induced multipole, which is an analogue of dispersion interaction between neutral atoms (molecules), and the interaction between two multipoles. The dominating contribution to attractive part of interaction potential is determined.
